March 10, 2012 – Teaching an art workshop for the Palo Alto Art Center with my studio-mate, Julia Nelson-Gal. “Stitch it, Tie it, Wrap it” will be held in our studios in Palo Alto, CA from 10 am to 4 pm. Students will use thread, rope, string, wire and other materials as a means of expression in collage and assemblage. January 23 - March 16, 2012 – Exhibiting in “(RE)MODIFIED” at Hartnell College Gallery in Salinas, CA. Curated by Nancy Sevier, the show brings together a delightful mix of works, created by 24 California artists, that incorporate found objects. I have three works in the exhibit. Opening reception is Friday, 1/27, 5-8 pm.
 
January 23 - February 2, 2012 – “Treasures of the Bay Area,” a solo art installation in Gallery 8 at San Jose State University. For this new work, I have interviewed 100 people in the greater San Francisco region, exploring how value is assigned to possessions, and memory and meaning are embedded in objects.
 
November 30 - December 16, 2011 – “5x5 An Invitational” at Westmont Museum of Art in Santa Barbara, CA. My collage, Madonna Matrix, is included in this exhibition and sale of 5-inch square artworks by local and national artists and personalities.. August 16 - October 16, 2011 – My work, Old Glory, is presented in “Scrap ART” at San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles. The exhibition showcases historical and contemporary quilts from the Museum’s and private collections that are created with scraps and repurposed materials. Opening reception is August 21, 2-4 pm. July 15-30, 2011 – “Changing Context” a solo exhibition in the Darling Gallery at Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, CA. I will be assisting with MFA critiques July 17-21.
